This converted cottage overlooks fields, trees and the rolling hills of Kent, the Garden of England. On our nine-acre site there is so much to do: past the cottages unfold the gardens with a duck pond to paddle around in the row boat, open-air table tennis under the barn, afternoon tea on the lawns, croquet, and tennis on the all-weather court.

Description
Willow Cottage at Hamptons Farmhouse is a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. This gorgeously converted farm cottage with wonderful views is nestled in beautiful countryside between the villages of Plaxtol and West Peckham. Amazingly quiet and peaceful, set in nine acres, all that can be seen is rolling countryside, yet we are just 32 miles from the centre of London, only 35 minutes from Sevenoaks to Charing Cross by train.
The site is very child friendly. It is safe and secure, including the water areas, but filled with adventure. The Fort is a camouflaged climbing frame with swings, monkey bars, a climbing wall and a 40 metre zip wire. By the giant redwood is the massive Jump King trampoline. The genuine gypsy caravan is a cosy place to chill out. The woodland tree house with its super-slide, secret dens, the seven dwarfs' woodland playhouse, climbing trees and farmyard animals add to the blissful experience.
We have free superfast fibre WiFi, and in the cooler months the heating is plentiful and the well insulated cottage keeps you cosy and warm.

You really don’t have to leave the site.
Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks are 15 minutes away, with Tonbridge closer still. Larkfield leisure centre is eight miles, Kent Life 11 miles and Bewl Water 17 miles. Leeds, Hever and Rochester castles and Penshurst Place are all within half an hour.
The nearest beaches at Camber Sands, Hastings and Eastbourne are about an hour. Bluewater shopping is close, six golf courses are within nine miles, and the Channel Tunnel is one hour away.

“Outstanding child-friendly country cottage”
Willow Cottage is a pretty and practical cottage surrounded by endless country walks and set in the lovely peaceful rural setting of Hadlow and Plaxtol. The grounds are child friendly with a vast amount of activities for every age group and plenty of things for the adults to do as well. Our god-children have enjoyed the trampoline, swings, sandpit and wendy house, and they loved the chickens, rabbits and ducks.
The cottage is very well equipped, the heating is cosy warm, the storage is spacious and the full-sized sofa bed in the lounge is handy when friends stay for the weekend. There was a very generous welcome package including eggs, milk, wine, bread and much more, which meant we didn't have to do a shop for a couple of days.
Andy and Kate are such lovely hosts, very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. If we were missing anything or needed information they came up trumps in a matter of minutes. We would highly recommend a stay here.
