Getting to Hamptons Farmhouse

By road, rail, air and Channel

By car

From Gatwick take the M23 north, then the M25 anticlockwise to junction 5 and the A21 towards Tonbridge, about 30 miles and 45 minutes to an hour off peak. From Heathrow, the M25 anticlockwise all the way, about 55 miles and an hour and ten minutes. From Stansted, the M11 south then the M25 anticlockwise. From the Channel Tunnel at Folkestone or the port at Dover, the M20 or the A20 and M26, about 45 miles, roughly an hour off peak.

The postcode brings you to the farm. Dairy Cottage is the white painted building on the left past the main farmhouse, parking on the main driveway (///locals.goals.window). Willow Cottage: at the end of the driveway turn left and it is immediately on your left (///emerge.chip.audit). Little Apple Barn: ///older.finishing.fumes. By train

    London Bridge from about 30 minutes, typically 38; Charing Cross and Cannon Street direct; around 145 trains a day. Car park A charges by the day, cheaper after 10 am and at weekends.

By air

Gatwick is the closest airport, about 30 miles. Heathrow is about 55. Stansted, Luton and London City are all reachable in under two hours. Hire cars are at every airport, and a taxi from Gatwick is a realistic option for a family with luggage.

Getting around

You will want a car. Tonbridge, Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells are fifteen to twenty minutes and have everything. Hadlow village has a pharmacy, a farm shop, a post office and two pubs, about a mile away. Buses run through Hadlow between Tonbridge and Maidstone, but not often.

Not in 2026. Ebbsfleet and Ashford have been closed to Eurostar since 2020. Use London St Pancras and take a train from London Bridge or Charing Cross to Tonbridge.
