This was the most delightful cottage we could have stayed in. Being December, there were fairy lights all over the property, including in our sitting room and upstairs bedroom. Truly magical. The hosts, Andy and Katie, were charming and helpful. A welcome pack full of goodies was on the dining table, and all household equipment provided. Our grandchildren visited us and played in the field which was full of exciting things - zipwire, gypsy caravan.. ..they can't wait for us to go again! This is a holiday we would recommend absolutely to anyone of any age. Thank you, Andy and Katie xxx

We stayed at Diary Cottage for 4 weeks while our house was redecorating. Initially planned for 3 weeks but Andy was very help full to get extension for one more weak talking to next Guests. Staying away from house for 4 weeks is big task but thanks to all the facilities at Dairy Cottage, we did not felt a single instance where we missed our house. There are many outdoor activities we could do in cottage but due to winter we had very few days where weather was dry and we loved playing Tennis and Ping-Pong. We had few Guests visited during our stay and they all were impressed with the facilities at the cottage. We are delighted we stayed at Diary Cottage and hope to come back for a proper holiday soon.

I stayed at Dairy Cottage for 10 days while visiting my parents recently. It was absolutely wonderful! What a gorgeous place to stay…I enjoyed several afternoons sitting in the peaceful gardens and soaking up the beauty of the surrounding countryside. The cottage was perfectly equipped with everything I needed and so comfortable - it really felt like a home away from home. The underfloor heating in the bathroom was such a treat to wake up to on a cool morning, I’m really missing it now I’m back home! Andy & Katie were the perfect hosts and kindly checked in with me to see if I needed anything. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again when I next visit the area! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful stay recently at Dairy Cottage. This is our 3rd or 4th time, having stayed at Stable Cottage, Willow Cottage and now Dairy Cottage. It is a glorious location and exceedingly clean. The perfect place to relax and enjoy the Kent countryside. We had a week of beautiful sunny days and amazing sunsets, the grounds of the property are truly lovely and we sat out every evening on the covered terrace enjoying a glass of wine and the sounds of owls hooting. Andy & Katie are lovely hosts and very welcoming, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay to families or couples.

This is our 5th stay with Andy and Katie at Hamptons Farmhouse and as always, we had a wonderful time and didn't want to leave. They made us feel so welcome and we loved exploring all the space they have and meeting ducks and chickens also! This year we did some exploring of the public footpaths around the house - walking to Mereworth woods from the house was lovely! We would definitely recommend a stay there, it is relaxing but there is always some exploring or playing to keep the kids occupied (our two are aged 6 and 8 now). Our kids are always asking when we will go back or if we can live there, if only! Thanks again Andy and Katie 🙂

Dairy Cottage is a perfect holiday home in a quiet corner of Kent, set amidst an expanse of child-(and adult!)) friendly open space and play equipment. The accommodation is comfortable and well equipped - our girls loved the 'Heidi loft' bedroom. Lots of good day trips a short drive away - we visited the beach at Margate, a medieval castle at Bodium, Winston Churchill's home at Chartwell and the Royal Docks at Chatham with ease from this base. Katie and Andy were super helpful when corresponding about the booking and Kim looked after us brilliantly during our stay. We have previously enjoyed two fantastic summer trips to Katie and Andy's place in the Dordogne and this Kentish escape proved just as brilliant (if a little more rainy!). Highly recommended.

I have stayed at Dairy Cottage for nearly three months between selling and buying houses. It has been a delight to live in the country. The cottage is well equipped and cosy. The gardens are a delight, as there is so much for children of all ages to enjoy, be it playing on the playground, tennis, football, taking tea in the doll's houses or making sandcastles. There are tranquil spots to sit and read a book and to enjoy the lovely views. There are plenty of walking opportunities in the area with a network of footpaths which are well maintained. The lanes are quiet, suitable for cycling, with some heart-testing hills! It has been a delight to live here, with Katie and Andy on hand when I have needed any help. They have been charming and considerate and I would recommend a stay here for any length of time.

We had a wonderful stay at Hamptons Farmhouse in Kent in the last weeks of the summer. The grounds are magnificent, and a dream for children with playground equipment, a zipwire, baby animals, scooters, bikes and tennis all on hand. We stayed for some weeks while house hunting and the children didn’t ever want to leave. The cottages are incredibly well equipped to allow you to do laundry and cook very comfortably, but there are also some gorgeous walks that pass by charming local pubs and restaurants. I never realised countryside so close to Sevenoaks could be so beautiful. We walked to Ightham Mote, Plaxtol and the Chaser Inn through orchards, farmland and fields. Andy and Katie were incredibly welcoming and helped us with everything from emergency printing to parcel delivery. Highly recommend it, worked really well for a long stay.

We were looking for a place to escape to during our house renovations, and hadn't really taken in that we had rented a child's paradise until we arrived! Dairy Cottage is lovely in and of itself - immaculately clean and comfortable, with a well-stocked kitchen, lovely bathroom and shower and a fun loft for the children to sleep in. But, it was clear moments after we arrived what a truly special place this is - and every day we were there we kept discovering more and more delights. When I was a child, I dreamed of having space to roam and be free, of tree-houses and Wendy houses, forts, swings, trapezes and trampolines. It's all there! Plus, a pond complete with a row-boat, a tennis court, chickens, ducks, (extremely cute) bunnies, sheep, football and netball nets - and so much more. My children weren't interested in the slightest in television or electronic devices - all they wanted to do was play outdoors, which is a true delight for a parent to see. It is so rare these days that children have the space and time to play on their own like they can do at Dairy Cottage. The grown-ups rather enjoyed it too - especially as it was a wonderfully quiet place to work, and Katie and Andy made us feel very welcome with some lovely treats and roses. The only real downside is that we had to drag the children away at the end of the week, and there were a few tears shed on the way home. It was a wonderful break from the chaos of our extension - thank you Katie and Andy!

We had a fantastic stay at Hamptons Farm! The farm and its surrounding is your most beautiful English countryside, the house itself was clean, well-equipped, spacious but still cosy, also well-heated with floor heating in the bathroom and radiators in all other rooms. The garden is a child's dream with outdoor toys, treetop house, little doll houses in a huge garden and surrounding forest. Andy and Katie were wonderful hosts, welcome goodies much appreciated. We loved the animals: friendly chicken, duck, sheep and rather shy rabbits. Beautiful walks in the surrounding. You will need some form of transportation to get around: it took me about 15-20 min to drive to Sevenoaks train station in the mornings. Warmly recommended for a peaceful get-away, even with occasional trips to London.

Beautiful, peaceful, rural setting with wonderful walks from the doorstep. The grounds and child-friendly (from very little to teenage) activities are astounding and vast. My teenage kids have enjoyed the very large trampoline (one of 2), swings in the trees, big zip wire, table tennis and morning greetings from the chickens and ducks. One week into our several month stay and we are still discovering new places to sit and new things to do. The cottage is really well equipped (kitchen supplies, heating, storage and more) and spacious for 2. We have used the comfortable and full-sized sofa bed in the lounge too, and short-term the cottage works for 4 as well. There is not a desk but the good sized dining table is working well for me to work at during the day. Katie and Andy are wonderful, welcoming and flexible hosts. Nothing is too much problem, for instance they have accepted mail for us and allowed us to invite family over for a few hours. There was a very generous welcome package including pears from the farm. We will be using Willow Cottage, and the others onsite for our future Kent visits, and expect family and friends will be doing so too. Thank you!

Beautiful, small cottage. Very cosy and "homey". Wonderfully warm - I arrived in cold temperatures having been wearing shorts 2 days before & I was lovely and warm all the time. Beautiful country location with quaint narrow roads. Only minor issues were not enough storage space (or coat hangers!) in bedroom or bathroom - and I was staying on my own! Crockery was not suitable for use in microwave as it was too hot to touch afterwards. I have advised the owners of these minor problems and have been delaying posting a review in anticipation of them telling me they would resolve them. Hopefully they will soon.......... That being said, I'd be happy to stay in Dairy Cottage, or one of their other properties, again.

Having read through some of the other postings for this property, I was trying to come up with something a little different to say. Its actually quite difficult as other reviewers have covered all; bases so well in highlighting what is a superb property and location. Must admit as a couple without kids, looking for a week in the UK, we were slightly put off at first by the 'child friendliness' of the advertising for this place. Actually during our week in June only one of the four cottages had children (and the family had driven all the way from Munich). If it is just a bit of peace and relaxation you are after, don't lets the kid facilities put you off. Such is the size of the property grounds there is room for all without being intrusive on any of the neighbours. As a number of reviewers have said, the cottages are suitable for all ages, family size etc. To get out and about you do need a car. That said there are also some nice walks that can be had from the site. A really informative welcome pack/guide is left in the room giving lots of ideas. Ordinance survey maps are also provided. The nearest pub to walk to is the Kentish Rifleman, approx. 25 mins back down the lane. Alternatively, the walk via the fields/footpaths is much nicer. Book if you are going to the pub - it can be busy. Two mins up the road from the property is a lavender farm. Perfect for picking up some tubs of lavender ice cream to enjoy back in the garden. We did benefit from some particularly good English weather during our week. Long nights were also a bonus. The property would be snug and warm on a winters day . The property met all our needs as a base for a relaxing stay. Enjoyable days out and plenty of time sat around in the gardens with a glass of wine and a book. Very much owner managed by Katie and Andrew which clearly shows in all aspects of the business they run. Thoroughly recommended for all.

Diary Cottage is ‘everything it says on the tin’ and so much more! We as a family needed a break into the lovely Kent Countryside over the summer and Andy and Katie’s guest retreat proved to be the perfect holiday destination – made that bit more special because of their warm hospitality. With two young and very active boys, we needed to ensure that they were catered for first. The breathtakingly beautiful surroundings (for us adults) was also a hive of fun for the boys with a fantastic zip wire, loads of trampolines, pond with boat and other summer games. We stayed for a week and found the family preferred to stay on the grounds and have fun rather than travel in the car. That said, we also found the Cottages well located for movie and dinner trips to Tonbridge and numerous lovely pubs in the area – many within easy walking distance. And after all the bases were covered, my wife and I had ample opportunity to enjoy the finer delights on offer – often spending hours in the sunny gazebo, drinking a cold drink while keeping one eye on the family and reading a good novel. Or relaxing in the very upmarket and well decorated cottage with everything ‘on tap’. In a sentence: Diary Cottage is sunny inside, set in a warmly welcoming farm courtyard with a hay loft treasure for two young boys. We will be back next year.

Our hosts Andy and Katie have been very helpful when needing advice about the area as well. Dairy cottage is definitely worthy of a five star rating.

(40 min).

Dairy cottage is a new cottage with all latest amenities, yet it has a charm of a country side cottage. It is fun for children as they can sleep in a hay loft! You can feel that the owners love kids as they made the surroundings a true adventure for children. So much to see and discover. We loved our stay very much. Thank you Andy & Katie!

Our stay coincided with the awful storms arriving in the UK. Andy & Katie were amazing at making sure the whole family were safe and well. The cottage was cozy and warm in the chilly and wet conditions and we had absolutely everything we needed to make it a very enjoyable stay despite the awful weather. The kids still managed to get outside and enjoy the wonderful facilities - ping pong, zip line, tennis and other games like giant domino's. They had a blast. Highly recommended.
