Willow Cottage is a pretty and practical cottage surrounded by endless country walks and set in the lovely peaceful rural setting of Hadlow/Plaxtol. The grounds are child-friendly with a vast amount of activities for every age group and plenty of things for the adults to do as well. Our God children have enjoyed the trampoline, swings, sandpit, wendy house and they loved the chickens, rabbits and ducks. It will be wonderful in the summer but we were there for 5 weeks in November and December and weather was a little cold. The cottage is very well equipped with kitchen items and supplies, travel cot and towels and the heating is cozy warm, the storage is spacious and the full-sized sofa bed in the lounge is handy when friends stayed for the weekend. There was a very generous welcome package including eggs, milk, wine, bread and much much more which meant we didn’t have to do a shop for a couple of days. We were using Willow Cottage as a stop gap between moving houses but in the end it became a very nice winter holiday. Andy and Kate are such lovely hosts very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. The peace and quiet was very much needed an ideal place to do as much (or little) as you want. There are lots of attractive places to visit in the area and Andy and Kate have obviously worked hard to provide quality accommodation with nice personal touches, if we were missing anything or needed information they came up trumps in a matter of minutes.
